Happy Valentine’s Day to all those who believe that the spirit of romance is still alive!  It seems such a natural thing to want to fall in love or if we are already in love to rejuvenate those feelings we had when we first met. 

 I truly believe there is someone for everyone and if you are single, keep the faith! Astrology can offer some insight into the highly illogical, emotional world of romance where  seekers of love may find some answers.

Factors that Astrologers take into consideration when looking at romance appearing in one’s life or at the compatibility of two people are complex.  The placement of the planet Venus when we were born will tell us a story about how we love and what we are looking for in love.  The placement of the Moon when we were born will tell us how we relate emotionally.  For example, if you had your Venus in Libra you would always want to be in love and love would be a priority in your life. If your Moon was in Pisces you would be emotionally sensitive.  The placement of Mars will show how our passion and libido is expressed.  When two charts are presented these are some of the things an astrologer will look at to get an idea of compatibility.

 An astrologer can also analyse the current position of the planets in the sky at the present time and compare them to when you were born.  These are called ‘Transits’ and can indicate when specific patterns are activated. These include romance, career, finance, health and travel patterns. Transits can be particularly accurate and although they can’t predict the detail of events,
they can give an overall climate of the time you are in and heading into.

To keep it simple, I thought we could look at the elements of our star signs and their compatibility.  Each star sign is divided into four elements, fire, air, water and earth.  

Firstly, find your own sun sign‘s element and then your partner’s or potential partner’s element below and read the compatibility analysis.  Take into account we are only looking at sun signs which is a basic compatibility guide. These interpretations may also relate to other relationships in your life such as friends and family.

 If you are keen to know more,  I would recommend getting your personal natal chart done by a professional astrologer or a composite chart which is blending two charts together to see compatibility.

Fire Signs;     Key word;     I inspire;       Aries, Leo & Sagittarius;

Fire & Air; is a wonderful mix, the air fanning the fire, the fire stimulating the air with creative ideas.

Fire & Earth; Fire’s enthusiasm may wear down the earth sign eventually and earth may bore the fire sign. However they also provide balance for each other.

Fire & Water; Water may put out the fire leaving fire feeling drained emotionally and not appreciated.  Fire may not be sensitive enough for water. Lots of communication needed in this mix.

Fire & Fire; Excitement every second and lots of chemistry. Together they conquer the world.

Air & Earth;   Air will get frustrated with earth’s predictability.  Earth will find it hard to understand air, however together they get a lot done; work well as a task oriented team.

Air & Water; These two frustrate each other, water is feeling, air is logic, perhaps they can learn from each other.

Air and Air; off with the fairies, two intellects in love with all their ideas together, can work well as long as at least one of them is also a practical type.

Water & Earth; Great mix, they understand each other perfectly and have similar values.

Water & Water;  A very emotional connection, may be intense although very caring.

Earth and Earth;  materially comfortable no doubt, but perhaps the relationship is lacking on other levels.

I saw a vision of a brown owl on your shoulder and was impressed with a sense of deep wisdom that is partly from being an old soul and partly born from some of the challenges you have faced in this life. I feel that your wisdom could help others heal. I don't get so much you being a healer of the body but more an emotional healer such as spiritual counselor or even pastoral services and working around death and dying. I also feel remedies such as flower essences would work well with your innate healing abilities.  It is your choice what area you follow but Spirit will gladly support and guide you once you make a decision what area you would like to pursue. I see orange Lilies around you which are about building self esteem and relaxation.

There are many people around you in Spirit who have passed on sending you much love and encouragement. There are 3 people who come forward, one is a motherly energy, one is a brother energy and the other a friend. The mother energy loves what you are doing in your life, she says the business side of things is 'fab'. The brother energy has a dry sense of humour and says to kick ass and take 'no crap' Be confident to do things 'your way' regardless of others opinions. The friend, who may have suffered depression, but had a witty sense of humour, says; yes yes, on the right path just keep walking but don't be afraid to do things differently. Any new ideas you are having recently may be coming from Spirit, it is their way of helping you so listen to those 'light bulb' moment ideas. There is some expansion around business in terms of services or possibly premises. I see Jonquil flowers around you which is about bringing light into the workplace and home.

I sense there is a young woman around you who passed prematurely who loves you very much. She may have been a little wild in her day but is at peace now and very sweet. She had a red robin sitting on her shoulder.  She watches out for you.  She said that you have a fire in your heart and feel restless easily and she would love to see you travel and go to places you have never seen. She also encourages any form of creativity. As far as relationships go she said to count your blessings as you are very loved and if you knew how much you were loved, you would be overwhelmed. I sense there is a gentleman in Spirit around you who is like a father figure to you, he may have been connected to the name Ralph, he says 'patience and kindness' is a good attitude to have right now, more will reveal itself as this year progresses. He shows me you fishing and relaxing and says stop worrying, things have a way of working themselves out. I sense romance angels around you and they give me the message that you have been working out what it is you want or perhaps don't want in a relationship and that you are being discerning who you let into your life, which is a good thing. They say that there is someone that will be worth the wait and just keep putting out positive energy, which you already do.  I do see someone coming in around you who is special to you and this person has a love of gardening or being in greenery and nature. Spirit is reluctant to say when but I do feel that Spring time is special for you this year. I see forget me not flowers around you which are about past lives, so I assume your next partner is a soul from your past returning.

I was thinking this week about how everyone has been talking about 2017 being a year of new beginnings and how excited we all are about it. Most of us know by now that it is a '1' year and a wonderful time for doing things differently.  After all, we have grown wiser and smarter after all the challenges of 2016 so bring it on!

One important factor may have been overlooked. 

New beginnings involve change and with change comes challenges. 
I am sure we will all be challenged in varying ways through out life but new beginnings require patience and a quiet confidence that everything will work out for the best.

Remember a beginning in your life such as the first day of a new job, moving into a new home or your first date with someone ?  It feels a bit weird but at the same time, its exciting.

New beginnings require us to feel out of our comfort zone at least temporarily until we make the necessary adjustments. If you have been feeling out of sorts so far this year, it's most likely part of an adjustment process, whether this is externally or just getting your head around situations.

We can help along our new beginnings by taking time to gain clarity.  What intentions do we we have regarding what we want to achieve? Try to see the blessings in each day as gratitude reminds us to enjoy the journey and be less fixated on the destination. 

Being out of our comfort zone is not a bad thing, its where we often expand who we are, learn new skills and acquire wisdom.

Focus on the excitement and the potential that is beginning to manifest in your life. Look back a few years ago and see how far you have come.

We can choose to be patient at the moment knowing that things are moving forward perhaps more than we realize. Let's be our own best friend by choosing self kindness and believing in our own inner guidance.

Have faith knowing you can call on Spirit for assistance, we all have a personal team of Spirit Allies at our side that are eager to help.

Look out for the full moon in Leo (22 degrees) this Saturday (Sydney time). It is also a lunar eclipse and the energy will be buzzing. Lunar eclipses are often about our inner world more so than our outer world. Emotions may be sensitive but it is an opportunity to soar spiritually and connect with groups and humanity at large.

I see that you are currently faced with options in your life, more so than usual. I get the sense that if you make some adjustments in other areas of life, such as work, home and doing more of whatever it is that brings you joy, the right person will appear. If they were to turn up right now, you may be distracted and I sense that your guardian angels are advising to focus simply on being happy.  Yes, there is someone not too far off. I also see cherry blossom around you which is about romance and love.

I see horses around you in Spirit, perhaps you have had something to do with horses or they are coming to you as Spirit Allies, horses are about power and freedom. I get mixed feelings about leaving the property you are at which is delaying change. It is a matter of timing and I sense it is not quite yet. I do sense by next month you will be feeling more clarity around this decision. It is not a time to push issues, rather a time for quiet contemplation. There will be no doubt when the time comes, you will know 100%  I see Gladiolus flowers around you which are about emotional upliftment and healing.

I am shown a lovely man around you in Spirit who has passed on who was truly a gentleman. I feel he is type of man to kiss a woman's hand. He may have been a partner of yours, if not he certainly has your interests at heart and wants to protect you. He shows me inner conflict about moving, part of you would love it and part of you is unsure and wonders if you will find yourself in a situation that is not as good as you are in now. He advises to count your blessings at this point as the timing is not right now. However, I do see mid year there is some serious contemplation about moving and you may make the move than, but ultimately it will be your choice. There are two guardian angels around you holding a baby and I sense this baby is waiting to incarnate. For whatever reasons, it has not been the right time yet but I sense there is reassurance that the right time is coming and to stay positive. Focus on yourself and being and doing what makes you happy . When I ask the angels when this will happen, they are a bit elusive and don't want you to focus on time so much as feeling happy in your life with or without a child. They said they have heard your prayers and that they will be answered. I see sweet pea flowers around you which are about wishes coming true, the affirmation 'all is well' comes to mind. Once you stop watching the kettle waiting for it to boil, it will happen, if you get my meaning.

Your Questions answered and the Power of Flowers

Before I get to the questions, I wanted to talk about the power of flowers.

Around six months ago, I completed an online course on flower therapy with naturapath/spiritual teacher, Robert Reeves. I chose to do the course due to my love of flowers and have used flower essences over the years with wonderful results. 

I learned what I always suspected, that flowers are powerful healers, protectors and messengers and that there are always fairy folk associated with flowers. They are much more than a pretty face, so to speak!

Around a month ago, every time I was reading for someone, I started seeing a specific type of flower around their heads or in a vision for them. It started happening quite randomly but now it is happening regularly. The only thing is at this point, I can't always intuit the meaning and I have to go and look the flower up in Robert Reeves & Doreen Virtue's book Flower Therapy (see image on the left) and so far, it has been absolutely spot on each time.  I assume I will soon begin to intuit the meaning more so.

  So with your messages that I am answering here, if I give a flower name at the end of your message, I haven't got time to write out the full meaning so perhaps just google its symbolic meaning or of course you could get the flower therapy book I mentioned. It is available on kindle or paperback.  There is also a deck of cards called; The flower therapy oracle deck.

Be aware of any flowers you are drawn to or keep turning up in your life. They have a message for you. You can even just close your eyes, be quiet for a moment and ask yourself what is the first flower that pops in your mind.  You may even like to ask a specific question.  Voila, there is a message for you.

You can benefit from the energy and healing properties of the flower not only by experiencing the real thing but also by using their images in your life, such as a painting, a photo or placing the image on your screen saver. Some flowers may also be available in a flower essence or essential oil.

Will my granddaughter find happiness in her life? She is in an unhappy relationship now.

I am shown a woman in Spirit who feels like a mother to you Cheryl, she was a loving woman but also had a great deal of inner strength and gave selflessly to her family and the community. She was very skilled at crafts but had trouble with a left leg at some point. She reassures me that she is helping your granddaughter and that she is not quite ready to move on from her current relationship. These two are working out complex karmic patterns but I do see there is light at the end of the tunnel for her in the next 3 years.  There is a great force of joy coming in around her, possibly a child or a wonderful breakthrough. This woman in Spirit advises that you simply love and support her unconditionally at this time and keep praying for her as you have been. It will work out for the best.

Do you see my partner and I owning our own property in the not too distant future?

I have a man in Spirit who passed away prematurely, maybe aged 40's to 60's who is keen to help you two obtain a property. He may be connected to your partners family. I am being shown green pastures and sense it may be on either a big block or acreage. He congratulates you on all the hard work you two have been doing to manifest this and reassures you it will pay off. September this year is some excitement around this although I don't get the detail. Keep doing what you are doing and the universe will conspire to manifest the perfect environment! Cheers

I see a Spirit Guide around you who presents herself as an Egyptian Goddess dressed in gold with a strong aura of abundance. She says that this is your year to rise from the ashes and claim abundance. I get a positive yes for you but also get that there is more information to come to light in the next few months around this and an element of the unexpected. It is possible that you have more than one career opportunity but either way you can't lose. This is your year!

Will my daughter enjoy her new school?

I sense that your daughter has a 'big' energy/soul and that her higher self is wanting to expand so she may be feeling experimental and wanting new experiences. I think the change of school is challenging for her in some ways yet exciting in others. I am shown that it may take until July until she feels really comfortable there but there is reassurance from your guardian angel that you are making the right decision. Your guardian angel holds out 'forget me not flowers' (read article above) and says that there is a greater plan at work and not to be overly concerned. Your angel says that you yourself are very intuitive and to always trust your gut feelings. I am also told to encourage your daughter to be involved in performing arts, I feel she need the excitement that environment can bring.

I am impressed with a elderly, male Spirit Guide around you who presents himself in the form of a Tibetan person. He is witty and wise and asks you to keep your sense of humour up at this time and not get too into the worrying of what will be. 
He is proud of you that you gave notice and are taking risks, your act of courage will pay off and you will find yourself in a much happier situation. Trust your own intuition about the job you are applying for, something is not right but there is something just perfect any moment, so keep your options open. Also he wants to remind you of your own talents and that you could at some point be self employed. I see Gardenia's around you. (read article above) All is well!

I get a wonderful guardian angel who is like a healing angel around you. She has been helping you heal in matters of the heart, particularly the last two years. She says like many of us, you have been disappointed in love yet you have grown a lot within yourself and the time is approaching that you are ready to connect with someone on a deep level. In the past you thought perhaps if the person got too close they would not like what they see, but now you are more empowered and have more love for yourself. Continue to work on self love every day by simply being kind to yourself in small and big ways. The right person is not far off and I see you sharing hot chocolate by a fire/heater with someone special so possibly the winter time.  I feel you will meet them in an unexpected way but that the connection will be instant and feeling will be mutual. Thank you to all who sent me their questions. I had a good response from people wanting some guidance in their lives, and lets face it, we can all do with a little help from our Spirit friends, I know I do daily!

The first question was from Jan who asked whether she will  purchase a property coming up for auction in February. As soon as I began to tune in and ask Spirit for guidance I connected with the Spirit of the house in question.

 It reminded me that each house has a Spirit and that is why houses have a 'feeling' about them. The 'feeling' can also be residue energy of previous owners which eventually fades.

You can connect with the Spirit of your house by being aware of its presence and taking good care of your home.  House Spirits like to feel appreciated and reciprocate when you tend to the gardens and housekeeping in general. The occasional declutter and good feng shui all adds to a positive and happy atmosphere for all occupants as well as the house spirit.

You can ask the house spirit what it would like to see happen in the home or to protect the house when you are away. Trust thoughts and ideas that pop into your mind as a response from the house spirit.  You may find a plant will bloom an unexpected flower or some other sign around the home that the house spirit is happy.

The diagram on your right is a Feng Shui Bagua plan that you place over the plan of your home with the most used entry being placed in front of the 'Career and Journey' point. It shows what rooms and areas in your house will be associated with life areas.

The basic idea with feng shui I believe is if the area of the house feels good, it is good! Of course you can google feng shui to find out more.

Will I purchase the property that I want that is up for auction in February?

I sense the spirit of the house in question is not particularly happy and has not been so for some time. The house may look in good condition but I feel there has been sadness in this home or some unrest. The house spirit is looking for a bright and happy energy to enter and would love to have your energy there. However, I see another property piquing your interest before that time that may be even more attractive to you so keep your options open!
 I also feel a gentleman around you who passed in Spirit who is in your corner helping you to get the perfect home and impresses a feeling of confidence that you will find your home in the next few months. This man died prematurely and shows me fishing rods. The home he shows me seems to be raised or on a hill. If it is not the home in question, it will be something equally as good or better. Keep your prayers up, they will be answered!

I would love some guidance on my career

I sense there are a few healing angels around you that work with you..  I get the sense that as long as you are working under the umbrella of healing, which is a wide umbrella, you are on track with your life purpose. They say that you always give a 100 percent and more to whatever you do and they want to acknowledge that. They show me mid year there are several opportunities to shift gear around career direction. If you are considering study or retraining, the message is to be selective and be sure that is what you want. Timing is important now when making changes so trust your gut feelings carefully.  I feel you have so many gifts and there is much encouragement to make your income doing whatever brings you the most joy. Overall I sense a year where you make big steps forward and are in a more settled place financially and career wise by the end of the year.

I sense there are two souls in Spirit preparing to be your grandchildren and are simply waiting for the right time. So, simply yes, and I sense one of these children will arrive within the next 2 years. You will love being a grandparent, it so suits you!

Will I go to Uluru this year?

I feel the Spirits of Uluru would love a visit from you and are entering your dream state from time to time, planting the seed of desire to visit there.  When you go is totally up to you and your own free will. You can make this happen and you will when it feels right. Having said that I sense it would be pushing it to go the first half of this year and easier working to go anytime after June.

Would love to know if there are any big changes on the horizon for me?

I see a tall American Indian Spirit Guide around you in Spirit, smoking a peace pipe. He is very wise and is encouraging you to take your creativity to the next level and that this is where some big changes may happen if you allow it. You are finding a peace within yourself at the moment that is causing big transformations within that will eventually mirror externally. I sense your mother in law has a lot on her plate at the moment and is processing things in her own way. I get she needs her own space and it is okay to give her that. The less you expect from her at the moment the happier she is. She is doing well with what she has to work with. 
The business direction seems unclear at the moment so there is an element of trust that may feel you are walking forward wearing a blindfold. However I sense a lovely gentlemen in a suit in Spirit connected to your father's side of the family is helping you and your husband  and he is giving me clearly that the month of March is breakthrough time and the blindfold will be off and things are working out well. Don't worry, its all good!

Is there a job change for me? Should I look for a new job or stay where I am?

There is a strong spirit guide around you who brings through the energy of a Buddhist Monk. He says that your present job feels like clothes that don't fit you anymore and you are becoming increasingly uncomfortable. He understands that you would have to take a leap of faith to make a change but encourages you to begin looking and feeling out your options. There is not a rushed feeling around this, it is more time now to begin to prepare. You are a leader in your own right and a job where you could use those qualities would suit you well. Time to set your intentions, be clear about what you desire in a career and then manifest it!

Welcome to my new style blog; Ask Liz Medium

Hi Everyone,

Recently I had an unexpected, out of body experience when I was meditating. It was a guided meditation where it asked the listener to imagine they were in the universe looking down at planet earth, feeling connected on some level to every part of the planet.

I became overwhelmed with a powerful sense of love for every blade of grass, animal, person, air and sunshine. In a short moment, I was taken outside of my body and I merged with the planet. It was powerful and emotional. 

For the next few days after that experience I felt extra loving and non judging of everyone and everything around me. Although I feel I am already on the path of my life purpose, I have an ache to crank things up. This is the guidance I am getting and I want to honour it. So as I plod away at finishing my second book, which will be on the market this year sometime, I want to do more teaching and writing from here on. Unfortunately, I will simply not have as much time to do personal readings, only a few a week so I figured another way I can give out messages from Spirit is by utilizing this blog.


Each Monday I will be publishing a blog that will have a spiritual/counseling/psychic theme but will be adding an agony aunt, psychic aspect. That is, you can email me a question and I will publish your question and your answer here on the blog on Mondays.

You can ask about guidance in your life or any curious questions you may have about mediumship, astrology, reiki, spiritual healing or anything at all and if it is not appropriate I will email you back.  I will tune into Spirit for you and see what comes.

How can this work just through receiving an email? I tune into your energy when I receive the email. Physical distance is not relevant when tuning into a person's energy. The Art of the Intuitive Gift

In a crowded department store, my senses were bombarded with Christmas Carols, decorations and stressed out people. The chaos in my mind was no better and there was a sick feeling of panic in my lower stomach. It’s one thing to buy a birthday gift as there is generally only one gift to choose but when you are faced with a dozen or more at once, it can take a toll of us mentally, emotionally and financially. 

Somewhere in that moment of panic, I called out for help to my Spirit Guides, Angels or whoever may be listening, trying hard not to resent them for living in a non-physical world where Christmas gifts didn’t exist.  Quite spontaneously, I felt my breath slow down and closed my eyes for a moment. I saw in my mind’s eye a clear vision of one of the intended recipients of my gifts.  I tuned in psychically on this person’s energy and I asked their higher self, what can I gift you with that would bring you pleasure? I opened my eyes and it felt like my head was literally turned by some invisible force towards the sports section.  I then recalled this person did have a passion for sport. I went straight to the item and purchased it, intuitively knowing this was the correct gift.

This experience led me to re-evaluate my gift giving techniques. I realised that often I buy gifts when I feel obligated and pressured and also how I frequently choose gifts that I think the person should have. Sometimes I can even be resentful I have to buy a gift when my funds are low.  I am sure someone would not want a gift given with the energy of resentment.   I have made a decision to shift my focus now when buying gifts and be more aware of the person, their needs and their passions. Then there truly is the joy of giving and hopefully the energy of care and love will be felt.

Then there is the old  ‘re-gifting’ trick when the ugly vase that your Aunt gave you is wrapped and given to someone else with the energy of ‘ good riddance.’ One thing I have learned is that each and every inanimate object has a vibration. From now on I am going to be selective in my re-gifting and only do it when I am confident it will bring the recipient joy and the energy ingested into the gift is positive.  (I also hope I remember not to re-gift to the original giver!)

The reminder I want to leave you with from this story is that you can ask your Spirit Helpers for any type of assistance, anytime and anywhere.
